PSFK reports on the tragic passing of designer Tobias Wong. In this New York Times obituary Wong was described as "a designer whose outrageous sendups of luxury goods and witty expropriation of work by other designers blurred the line between conceptual art and design."
And PSFK ran into one of his "works" in 2007:
"It was his Wrong Store that drew a lot of attention in 2007. Staged in a small storefront in Chelsea, Manhattan during ICFF, it was a curated popup design shop that never opened. We remember stopping by and meeting Philip Wood of Citizen:Citizen who collaborated with Tobias. After asking him a few times for details of when the shop would be open, we realized we should have been quicker to get the joke by the smile on his face."
